G. Chris Galjour, M.D.

Dr. Galjour has served as one of the Orthopedic Team Doctors for Mississippi State University for over 10 years. He also takes care of student-athletes at Mississippi University for Women and local high schools. He works with each athlete to balance their desire to play sports with the need to heal their orthopedic injury for long term success.

Dr. Galjour enjoys treating a wide range of orthopaedic injuries and conditions including those related to the hand, elbow, shoulder, knee, hip and ankle. He has the expertise to determine if broken bones or torn ligaments just need a splint or a cast; and other times these fractured bones or ligament tears require minimally-invasive surgery.

Dr. Galjour is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. During his final year of orthopaedic residency at the University of Tennessee – Campbell Clinic Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Galjour served as Chief Resident. He then spent an extra year completing fellowship-training with the Campbell Clinic Hand and Upper Extremity team in Memphis, Tennessee.
